GENERAL
1. WE’RE IN! HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
First, fill out my contact form and I’ll respond within 24 hours. Once you choose your package or we create a custom package that fits everything you’re dreaming of, I send you a proposal, an invoice for the retainer payment, and a contract to seal the deal. Once I have these things, I’m all yours!
2. DO YOU HELP WITH OTHER VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS?
Of course! Being in the industry, I meet and work with some of the most amazing wedding vendors out there. I’m happy to share my list of contacts and point you in the right direction!
3. DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?
Totally! My standard packages include only myself, but we can definitely bring on a second shooter for an additional fee to ensure you’ve got every angle and moment covered.
4. WHAT IS YOUR BACKUP POLICY FOR PHOTOS?
I shoot with cameras that have dual memory card slots, so all photos are automatically written to two memory cards. In the event of a memory card failure, I have a full backup so no images are lost. Afterwards, I upload all the images onto multiple hard drives so there are many copies.
5. WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I’m a Canon lover! I work with 1 Canon R6 Mark ll, 2 Canon 5D Mark IV bodies and a variety of different Canon L series lenses. Having high quality equipment is very important to me – I also bring a back up body in case one fails.
6. CAN I HAVE THE RAW FILES?
Short answer – no. I shoot in RAW to ensure the maximum amount of exposure and colour information is available for editing, which also means the images look dull before editing. RAW images are not a representation of my final product and what you’re paying for. Please trust the process and know your final images will be MUCH better than RAWS.
7. HOW DO YOU DELIVER PHOTOS?
I deliver your photos in an online gallery that is customized just for you. From here, you can view and download your entire gallery, as well as order prints and share with your friends and family!
8. DO YOU HELP CLIENTS WITH POSING?
I’d say most of my clients have never had professional photos taken before. Don’t worry – I got you! I always like to get to know you before our session, either in person over a drink or via Zoom if you’re a world away! When our session starts, typically the first 20 minutes is getting comfortable, interacting with each other, and having fun! I guide you through the whole shoot, play music and give lots of prompts to capture the most natural and candid images.
9. WILL YOU HELP CHOOSE A LOCATION?
I’d be happy to! I have a ton of location recommendations throughout Vancouver Island & the Okanagan that I can send over to you once we’re all booked! If we’re heading beyond, you can bet I’ll find us some beautiful locations to document your adventure.
Weddings

2. DO YOU SHOOT ELOPEMENTS OR JUST BIG WEDDINGS?
I do it all! I love the intimacy, adventure and freedom of elopements – especially out in the wilderness! So if a traditional wedding isn’t your thing, check out my elopement service page for more details, then reach out so we can start planning!
3. DO YOU WORK WITH A SECOND SHOOTER?

4. IF THE WEDDING RUNS LATE OR WE WANT YOU TO STAY LONGER, IS THAT POSSIBLE?
I’ll stay as long as you’ll have me! I don’t schedule any other shoots on wedding days so if you’d like me to stay later than originally booked, I’m happy to do so at my additional hourly rate.
5. CAN WE GO TO MULTIPLE LOCATIONS ON THE WEDDING DAY?
Of course! I work with you to design a timeline that includes all the locations you want so we can spend more time taking photos and less time in the car. This goes for both wedding
6. WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT STRUCTURE FOR WEDDINGS?
For weddings, a 50% deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your date and pricing, with the final balance being due 30 days prior to your wedding date. If the payment structure is the only barrier between you and amazing photos, reach out and we may be able to work out a payment plan that works better for you! For all other shoots, I require a 50% deposit to book a session, with final payment due 1 week before the date of the session.
